On Her Own

I have a friend she working and at the same time studying and she is looking for an apartment. It took her a long time to find apartment that she really like. Searching for the perfect apartment is just like looking for Mr.Right. It's hard and, at the very least, takes sometime. The good ones in the market are usually taken or way beyond our reach. Some look good on paper, but are crappy in reality. There's a lot of trial and error. The search could take years. That does not stop us though from single-mindedly pursuing the dream of a perfect fit. But till that happens, when we learn to make do on our own. She has some of these reasons why she want her own apartment. She can walk around naked or eat dinner in her underpants and nobody would mind. She only got to close the windows. She get to pick her own noise. In other words, total TV channel and music control. She can be as moody as she want and she don't have to explain why. She get to test what she can and can't do. Her survival skills kick in and are constantly challenged- and she said, she become a better person for it.

Little Things

What are some of the "little things" that can keep love and friendship alive in marriage? What experiences or examples can you share that show the importance of keeping love growing in these ways? There is one woman, married for over 35 years, said: " I love it when my husband still brings me a little surprises after he has been gone for an evening or a weekend. It doesn't have to be a big thing, just a cookie or flower he saved from the meeting. I especially love it when he calls me from work in the middle of the day just to ask how my day is going or to share some exciting bit of news. These little things help us feel loved and cherished. You need to " Keep your courtship alive". Make time to do things together husband and wife - just two of you. As important as it is to be with the children as a family, you need regular weekly time alone together. Scheduling it will let your children know that you feel that your marriage is so important that you need to nurture it.
